time for the big one.

use this form to submit your dj set to participate in the big one., taking place on october 15 for october third thursday’s with 300nightclub.

lets get some things straight before you submit.

  1. heavy hitters only. no house, minimal techno, or anything below 140bpm for submission. we are looking for hard techno, dubstep, riddim, 140, etc.

  2. if you will not be available on 11/19, do not submit a set. winning the october third thursday dj competition and forfeiting your november headline will result in a generational blacklist, one like you’ve never experienced before.

  3. no personal deadline extensions. if you wanted it that bad, you would submit on time. whoops!

  4. no bribery. any form of a request to play on 10/15 besides a submission of this form will result in your dj set being voided. so not fair to the rest of the participants. furthermore, bribing one of the judges to give you a high rating after your set will result in a comedically and unintelligibly large blacklist.

  5. if you move on, you MUST be present for the entire duration of october third thursday. sporadic roll calls will occur throughout the night. if you are not present, during roll call, your set will be voided. it’s about supporting community!

  6. please only submit a 15 minute set. uncle 300nightclub will fall asleep while listening to your set if its any longer and your set will be voided.

  7. set ratings are mathematically calculated. we don’t do favorites here at thirds, so no sob stories about why you should win. i don’t make the rules!

*****violating any of these rules will result in a voided submission/set, and if bad enough, a permanent blacklist from any thirds events.

IF YOU ARE DEEMED A FINALIST, YOU WILL REPORT TO YZ’S KARAOKE CAFE ON OCTOBER 15 AT 7:00PM FOR A DEBRIEF AND OVERVIEW OF THE COMPETITION RULES. YOU WILL NOT FIND OUT YOUR SET TIME UNTIL YOUR TIME SLOT HAS ARRIVED.

WE WILL CONDUCT SPORADIC ROLL CALLS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. IF A FINALIST IS NOT PRESENT FOR ONE OF THESE ROLL CALLS WITHOUT A GOOD REASON, YOU WILL BECOME DISQUALIFIED FROM THE COMPETITION AND BLACKLISTED FROM ALL THIRDS EVENTS.

ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS SHOW UP AND BE PRESENT. EASY!
